El Ni\u00f1o Dios venerado en la Catedral Metropolitana de la Ciudad de M\u00e9xico fue vestido con el uniforme de la Selecci\u00f3n Mexicana con motivo del Mundial de Futbol 2026. La imagen fue colocada en el Altar de los Reyes para que fieles locales y visitantes extranjeros puedan acercarse a observarla y orar durante la celebraci\u00f3n del torneo. <\/p>\n
Esta pr\u00e1ctica en el recinto se remonta al Mundial de M\u00e9xico 1970, cuando la figura tambi\u00e9n port\u00f3 los colores del combinado nacional, seg\u00fan informaci\u00f3n difundida por Mundo Cofrade. Ahora, con el pa\u00eds albergando por tercera ocasi\u00f3n la m\u00e1xima competencia del balompi\u00e9, la costumbre fue retomada. <\/p>\n
